Our Communities of Interest (CoIs) bring together researchers, practitioners, and policymakers around shared themes in targeted violence and terrorism prevention. Each CoI provides a collaborative space to share knowledge, set research agendas, and translate evidence into practice, helping bridge gaps between research, policy, and operational work.
Our three communities are:
Extremism & Mental Health CoI
What role does mental health play in extremism, and how can research better inform practice? This CoI connects international researchers and practitioners to improve collaboration, strengthen research integrity, and translate findings into operational insights.
Risk Assessment & Risk Management CoI
How can we strengthen evidence-based approaches to assessing and managing risks of terrorism and targeted violence? This CoI brings together researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to share knowledge, identify challenges, and co-produce practical solutions.
Violence Norms CoI
What are the parameters of “appropriate” violence, how do views on this vary within and across societies and over time, and what are the implications for the prevention of terrorism and targeted violence? This CoI brings together researchers, practitioners and policymakers to foster collaboration and develop, share and operationalise insight.
